Cough Syrup è il singolo estratto da Young the Giant, album eponimo del 2010 (ma rilasciato come singolo solo nel 2011) della band Indie Rock californiana.
In realtà il brano risale al 2008, quando fu pubblicato per la prima volta nel EP dei The Jakes, come si chiamavano allora i Young the Giant.
Sintetizzando grossolanamente il significato della canzone è che la vita è troppo breve per mandare questo Sciroppo per la tosse e fare buon viso a cattiva sorte… o come diremmo noi mandare giù questo amaro calice
