In radio dal 22 maggio 2015, I Am A River è il secondo singolo estratto da Sonic Highway, ottavo album dei Foo Fighters, pubblicato il 22 maggio 2015.
I Am A River, ottava traccia del disco, è dedicata a New York, città nella quale la canzone è stata scritta, e fa riferimento al Minetta Creek, torrente che scorre sotto la città, atto a rappresentare i lati opposti e nascosti delle cose. Una città come New York ha infatti un lato naturale in sé, dato proprio dalla presenza di questo fiume nascosto che scorre sotto e attraverso la città unendone i vari aspetti.
