In radio dal 13 gennaio 2017, Say Something Loving è il secondo singolo estratto da I See You, album dei The xx disponibile dallo stesso giorno.

I See You, anticipato dal singolo di successo mondiale On Hold segue il successo dei due album precedenti degli The xx – xx e Coexist – che hanno venduto oltre 3 milioni di copie e vinto diversi riconoscimenti importanti lungo il cammino (in una recente recensione Uncut ha descritto The xx come “la band più influente degli ultimi dieci anni”, mentre The Telegraph ha dichiarato che sono “il suono del decennio”). I See You segna una nuova era per Romy Madley Croft, Oliver Sim e Jamie Smith, sia punto di vista sonoro che in termini di processo creativo. Infatti, mentre xx e Coexist sono stati entrambi realizzati in relativo isolamento a Londra I See You è stato registrato tra marzo 2014 e agosto 2016 a New York, Marfa TX, Reykjavik, Los Angeles e Londra, ed è caratterizzato da un approccio più aperto ed espansivo e maggiormente orientato verso l’esterno. Prodotto da Jamie Smith e Rodaidh McDonald, I See You è il loro disco più audace ed ambizioso.
