La trama del film First Man: Neil Armstrong, ingegnere aereonautico e aviatore americano, conduce una vita bucolica e ritirata con la famiglia a cui ha ‘promesso’ la luna. La morte prematura della sua bambina lo spinge a partecipare al programma Gemini, il secondo programma di volo umano intrapreso dagli Stati Uniti il cui scopo era sviluppare le tecniche necessarie ad affrontare viaggi spaziali avanzati e successivamente impiegati nella missione Apollo.
Le musiche originali della colonna sonora del film First Man sono composte da Justin Hurwitz (La La Land). L’album è disponibile a partire dal 12 ottobre 2018.
