In radio dal 19 ottobre 2018, Landlady è una canzone degli U2 estratta da Songs of Experience, loro quattordicesimo album in studio pubblicato il 1° dicembre 2017. Il brano è stata eseguita per la prima volta live durante la seconda data del tour italiano: una vera e propria sorpresa da parte di Bono e della band per i fan che hanno seguito le quattro spettacolari serate live al Forum di Milano.
Il testo è una dichiarazione d’amore, matura e consapevole, di Bono per sua moglie Ali…la padrona di casa. La chitarra all’inizio riprende in piccola parte Raised By Wolves mentre il testo richiama le onde di Every Breaking Wave dell’album Songs of Innocence. Il contesto della prima scena è molto casalingo e vede il nostro frontman tornare a casa dopo un tour. La melodia è dolce e malinconica che quasi fa male senza essere melensa.
