“Forget Me è una canzone che è così cara al mio cuore e mi sento decisamente come se fosse la mia migliore melodia fino ad oggi“, ha detto Capaldi in una nota. “Si tratta di una rottura che ho attraversato in cui dopo un anno, l’unico vero contatto che ho avuto con la mia ex è stato vederla ‘dopo’ la vita sul suo Instagram. Ero a un punto in cui ero piuttosto infelice, e sembrava che stesse andando avanti e oltre il suo periodo migliore, prosperando, e lo odiavo. Sembrava ingiusto che apparisse felice mentre stavo soffrendo e temevo che potesse essersi completamente dimenticata di me, quindi ho scritto una canzone a riguardo“.
