Trama di Heartbreak High

Heartbreak High è uno spettacolo ambientato in Australia e un riavvio moderno di uno spettacolo del 1994 con lo stesso nome, andato in onda per sette stagioni.

La trama segue un’adolescente, Amerie, un’emarginata sociale al suo liceo la cui situazione peggiora solo dopo che le autorità scoprono un murale che ha creato insieme alla sua migliore amica Harper, mettendo in evidenza la storia sessuale di molti dei suoi compagni di classe.

Amerie e Harper sono amiche fin dall’infanzia e stanno insieme nel bene e nel male. Sono inseparabili e hanno segretamente lavorato insieme su un muro, scarabocchiando sui collegamenti all’interno dei loro gruppi di classe.

Il giorno in cui il muro viene scoperto, Amerie decide di non menzionare il coinvolgimento di Harper nell’atto e sopporta il peso dell’ostracismo da parte del resto della scuola.

Quando finalmente Harper torna a scuola, si presenta con i capelli tagliati e si rifiuta di parlare con Amerie, che cerca di capire cosa c’è che non va. Abbastanza presto, perde la speranza e prende questo come un segno della fine della loro amicizia.
