La trama

Reign Supreme è la serie che racconta gli inizi del movimento hip-hop in Francia attraverso i destini di JoeyStarr (Melvin Boomer) e Kool Shen (Anthony Bajon) prima e fino alla formazione di NTM, Dee Nasty (Andranic Manet ) e altri rapper storici che si sono incrociati alla fine degli anni ’80.

I 6 episodi ci fanno cogliere le speranze di un giovane desideroso di forgiare la propria identità attraverso il movimento hip-hop di ispirazione statunitense. Le coreografie, le musiche e i testi in contatto con la realtà dei giovani dell’epoca, le radio libere emergenti, le ambizioni, il rapporto con gli affari… tutto è palesemente vero e rende essenziale questa serie.

Le canzoni della colonna sonora

Co-composta da Dee Nasty e Amine Bouhafa, la colonna sonora ritorna all’essenza stessa dell’hip hop degli anni ’80. L’album Le monde de demain (Bande originale de la série) è disponibile su tutte le piattaforme di streaming, compresa amazon, a partire dal 14 ottobre 2022.
