Il testo è stato scritto da Simon Le Bon sotto forma di poesia diversi anni prima che l’album Rio fosse scritto e inciso. Il testo della canzone è stato scritto nel 1978 durante un soggiorno estivo di tre mesi in un kibbutz in Israele; dove l’autore è diventato arboricoltore.
