The Beatles – Strawberry Fields forever – Con Testo e Traduzione
Attribuita alla coppia Lennon-McCartney ma scritta in realtà dal solo Lennon e pubblicata come singolo nel febbraio 1967, Strawberry Fields Forever è considerata una delle più belle canzoni dei Beatles.
Il brano fu inizialmente registrato per essere inserito nell’album Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band ma fu invece incluso in Magical Mystery Tour.
Strawberry Fields Forever esprime il tema della nostalgia per l’infanzia di Lennon a Liverpool – Strawberry Field infatti era il nome di un orfanotrofio a Liverpool dietro al quale era solito andare a giocare con gli amici da bambino – con comunque forti connotazioni surreali e psichedeliche tipiche del periodo.
