The Beatles – 1 Let It Be – Con Testo e Traduzione

Scritta principalmente da Paul McCartney (ma attribuita a Lennon/McCartney), Let It Be è la sesta traccia dell’omonimo album – l’ultimo pubblicato – del 1970 dei Beatles.

Secondo quanto rivelato da Paul McCartney, l’ispirazione per il testo del brano gli venne a causa di un sogno nel quale gli comparve la madre Mary, morta quando lui aveva 14 anni, che riguardo alle tensioni nel gruppo in quel periodo gli consigliava di lasciare correre, che tutto si sarebbe aggiustato.

Una piccola curiosità: nell’album Let It Be viene subito dopo Dig It, che finisce con la frase di Lennon in falsetto And now we’d like to do “Hark The Angels Come”!, questo per sottolineare sarcasticamente lo scarso apprezzamento dello stesso per Let It Be, che a suo parere conteneva troppi riferimenti pseudo religiosi.
